The design and print industry can be resource intensive if careful consideration is not given to the products specified and suppliers used. For example the following environmental impacts are associated with the provision of graphic design and printing in general: consumption of energy, water and other resources;/ production of printed materials and packaging;/ recycling of materials and waste disposal;/ transport and emissions to air and water.
